KISS Musical Director Henry Adam Curtis is a pianist, composer, teacher and musical director. A child piano prodigy, Hank performed his recital debut at age 11 at UC Irvine and with the San Diego Symphony at age 15. He holds a Masters in Musical Composition, studying both at USC School of Performing Arts and Mannes College of Music in New York. Hank’s original music is featured on Windham Hill Samplers and Polygram Records and has been performed worldwide, with two premiers at Carnegie Hall. A Kauai resident since 1989, Hank was Musical Director and pianist for South Pacific at the Kauai Beach Resort (since 2001), and served as Director of Music Ministries at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, for seven years. He is currently Musical Director for All Saints Church in Kapaa, and can be heard in many venues on Kauai including, the Mahiko Lounge at Gaylord’s and KISS, among many others. Hank is a private instructor of piano performance, music theory and composition, and has just released two CDs of original arrangements and compositions, Hawaiian-themed Hanalei Moon and jazzy As Time Goes By.

Laine Griffith plays saxophone, flute and clarinet. He is the music director for Kalaheo Elementary School. where he leads the school band as well as the Sunshine Express, the school’s children’s singing group made up of students from the third to fifth grades. Sunshine Express performs each year at Kauai Christmas Parade,  Kukui Grove Shopping Center and the Lights On Rice Parade. The group also takes its show on the road singing at care homes, hotels and the KCC Performing Arts Center.
